About Hamwi Cafe
Hamwi Cafe has a history of more than 70 years of serving coffee lovers in the Middle East, Europe, and North and South America.
With a keen vision and patient endeavor, an ambitious young man from Damascus, who possessed curiosity and a passion for success, was able to build an empire containing eight factories that produce coffee of all tastes and types to spread throughout the world with its unique taste and the perfect cup of coffee.
In the mid-twentieth century, the young man Muhammad Abdul Wahab was able to achieve his life’s dream of opening a store in which he prepared coffee beans, roasted them, and ground them to prepare a cup of coffee in his own special way, and he continued to dream of the world tasting his unique recipe.

The company received an (A) rating from the Dubai Food Safety Administration by applying the quality system and standards for the global food safety management system ISO 22000. In the same year, the company received the Innovation and Advanced Technology Award from the Dubai Industrial City Administration.
Al Hamwi Company’s factories are integrated in meeting the requirements of the global coffee markets with a production capacity for all its factories that meets all the demands of our customers around the world

Five new factories affiliated with Al-Hamwi Food Industries Company were opened in the United Arab Emirates, the first factory to produce Damascus coffee under the name of Bin Al-Hamwi and American coffee under the name of Anocafé and the second factory for Italian coffee under the name of Unospresso.
The third factory for liquid Arabic coffee under the name Bin Al-Hamwi and the fourth factory for the production of iced coffee and juices under the name City Cafe and the fifth factory for the production of instant coffee of all kinds under City Cafe, City Creamer and City Chocolate.

Followed by another factory in Damascus under the name “City Cafe” to produce instant coffee, which was followed by another factory to manufacture all food plastic containers for filling creamer, chocolate and coffee to ensure the purity and cleanliness of all containers from bacteria in the air. This journey was accompanied by the company obtaining the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate and the ISO 22000 Global Food Safety System Certificate.

A new generation of the family, the sons of Mr. Mohammed Al Hamwi, led by the first son, Mr. Bilal Al Hamwi, began a new phase of construction and development by establishing the first factory in the Middle East in Damascus, which includes three integrated factories, the first for Damascene coffee, the second for liquid Arabic coffee under the name Bin Al Hamwi, and the third factory for the production of Italian espresso coffee under the name Unospresso.

Al Hamwi Company was founded by Mr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab Al Hamwi, who reflected his passion for coffee with a high sense of quality. The distinctive coffee blend he offered to his customers was admired by them and led to an increase in demand, which prompted him to think about the need to expand.
